The Crime of Being Married

1966 in King and Queen County, Virginia.  She was black. He was white.  They committed the crime of loving and marrying.  They fought long and hard with the Supreme Court for the freedom to love and live freely and finally won.  Love is love, no matter who you are.
{For more of their story and beautiful photos: Loving v. Virginia.}

On a purely ridiculous and whimsical note-- Who hasn't loved  the wet, white shirt scene from Pride and Prejudice  when (Colin Firth)  Mr. Darcy emerges from the lake, making all women globally say, 'PHOOOOOAAARR!'  Now thanks to Toby the artist, you have the chance to splash about with a 12 ft. Darcy statue.
